@HBrowman This is fun! Here is mine which appears to be sea urchin themed along with a coincidental pentamerous symmetry shape - just like sea urchins! #echinonerdlab
Excited to start our @SAREProgram Partnership trial with Casco Bay Mooring integrating Atlantic Sea Scallops with Green Sea Urchins in Maine USA! Let's hope we can expand both markets & reduce problematic biofouling! @USDA@USDAScience@UMaine@UMaineDMC@universityofri@uricels
Thanks to @PemeticSeaFarms in Maine for a great weekend. We're excited to start trials integrating green sea urchins with Eastern Oysters for biofouling control! Look forward to seeing the results over the next few months! @SAREProgram@USDA#echinonerdlab#echinoderm#shellfish
For our upcoming mesocosm experiments, we're working on creating a more naturalistic food stock (in this case, whole oysters) containing controlled doses of spike plastics for crab exposure trials! #microplastics#plasticpollution#trophictransfer#jonahcrabs
An interesting article covering the profitable business of scientific publishing & whether it's bad for science or not....I'd be interested to see your thoughts on this through this poll....

So proud of our lab's Coastal and Environmental Fellows, Ashley and Maureen, for showcasing their amazing projects from the summer at their poster symposium. Ashley was awarded 2nd place poster for her plastics exposure work with blue crabs!!! The pinches were worth it!!
Testing the blue crab holding enclosures we built for the URI mesocosm tanks for upcoming #microplastics research! Each enclosure holds 2 crabs. Fingers crossed for no escapees.
