In MS: exercise (@ increase HR)will, increase the ‘steep slope’ of the mitral inflow spectral Doppler - hence:
- increase (reveal true) PG
-however, will falsely overestimate MVA (making the MS less severe

But the MVA is not really as important as the MPG

@EchoStudent @JaeKOh2 @ASE360 @MayoClinicCV I mainly use the indexed biplane Simpson's LV volumes for determining LV size but also consider the indexed LVEDD - esp. in females as indexed LV volumes seem too low.
