Gallery Eclectic presents
special pop-up celebrating the 50th anniversary of 🏝️Tropical Dandy🏝️, Haruomi Hosono’s cult classic album from 1975.
The pop-up will run from 25 to 31 July 2025. @eclectic_66

Originally released two years after his solo debut Hosono House (1973), Tropical Dandy marked a creative shift for Hosono, opening an adventurous and borderless soundscape that led to his celebrated “tropical trilogy” and ultimately laid the groundwork for the formation of Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO).
This pivotal album continues to captivate listeners across generations and around the world.

☝️A range of special merchandise will be available at the gallery, thoughtfully designed and produced by @hijiriendo, @theodore_famery, and @merch_studio_.

☝️The first-ever international reissue of Tropical Dandy is coming out to celebrate its 50th anniversary

✨New Artist ✨
Koutaro IKURA creates original works using technique called ‘Hotarude’ which allows light to transmit when the glaze is poured over the pottery. When it is placed under light, the parts that were cut open transmits light and the result is breathtakingly beautiful.
