@drtkeane That is why DIY is better. 1.5%SDS lysis + 1.5% sodium metabisulfite @ 55 C with ProK @ 400 rpm for 3 hrs. Chloroform wash, no phenol. Precipitate 1 vol EtOH (NO salt), spool + wash x3 with EtOH (GuHCl in 1st wash). Good for #bionano #longread #wideboretips

@drtkeane All dependent on type of mammalian tissue, sample age, required read length, cost + sample numbers. No single kit will process multiple sample types equally, no matter the supplier e.g. higher protein content is treated very differently to higher fat.
