i’ve been struggling for the past several days on how to go about articulating my thoughts and meg said everything i’ve been thinking.

all year our fandom has been at each other’s throats nonstop looking for ways to inflict the most pain onto each other. we’ve always had differences and in-fighting but never to this extreme to the point where people see each other as enemies. everything has become a competition to where people aren’t even enjoying things anymore just searching for ways to use what bts give us against each other. now people have turned their anger towards the guys and the guys see it. that isn’t something to be proud of. it should never have gotten to this point.

this tour and comeback is supposed to be a celebration. bts and army finally reunited but instead it’s been marred by the constant fighting and complaining. yes, there have been great memories that all of us will forever remember however this time will also be remembered for all the vile behavior and that’s unfortunate.

and i am concerned about the long term consequences all this bitterness and resentment will do to our fandom. how can we work together in the future, trust each other if we continue to dehumanize one another. a lot of you are saying hurtful things that you can’t take back and that will have a lasting impact far beyond when this animosity finally dies down and people turn their anger towards something else. because in this fandom it’s always something.

this fandom split during the solo era. many showed their true attitude to members and also many did not want bts to return as a group but they had to hide it somehow because bts clearly stated that the group is a priority and now their discontent is gradually coming out
