DONT EVER BUY A @madebygoogle PHONE. My 1yr old Pixel 5a 5g CONSTANTLY overheats, even doing mundane tasks. Wasted an ENTIRE WEEK dealing with @Google "support" only for them to tell me my phone is out of warranty. I ALREADY KNEW THAT, THATS NOT WHY I CALLED. FIX THE OVERHEATING

@madebygoogle @Google it has been, without hyperbole, the ABSOLUTE WORST "support" interaction i have EVER had in my life. called again today to see if they would address overheating. reps said theres nothing they could do, and the supervisor just flat out refused to speak. #googleSucks #DontBeEvil

@evandawson I had similar observations a while ago but didn't share them w anyone because I thought I was paranoid, cynical. While it's validating to see people you talk with (eg @AdamFrank4) also discussing these things, it makes them that much more real and concerning .

@evandawson I'm not an ai expert. just an IT degree obsessed with ai all my life. there's 2 facets to recent ai I have not seen discussed yet that seem equally or more concerning than if it will hurt or benefit society. Internally I refer to them as 'the mirror' and 'bootstrap effect.'
