Female Founders on the Rise in Climate Fintech!

According to our Climate Fintech Report 2024, 45% of early-stage Climate Fintech companies founded in 2023 have at least one female founder, reflecting a significant rise in female leadership that surpasses broader tech and fintech sectors.

Female-led startups are also attracting a notable share of funding. In H1 2024, 28% of Climate Fintech funding went to female-founded startups. According to Crunchbase, overall funding to companies with at least one female founder saw a new high at 23% in 2023 for the US. In Europe, according to Dealroom, startups
(co-)founded by women accounted for only 9.6% of all venture capital raised in 2023.
The funding landscape is evolving, and female founders are playing a key role.
