Regional Conference on Reducing Food Loss and Waste in Europe and Central Asia was held on 5-6 October 2022 in Istanbul/Türkiye.
As ECO-RCCFS, we are proud to co-host this important conference and also gave a speech on food loss and waste in ECO Region.

ECO-RCCFS attended the "Regional training workshop on strategic planning and policy development in food security" on 20-21 Sep 2022 organized by @iofs_kz.
Ahmet Volkan GÜNGÖREN, coordinator of ECO-RCCFS, delivered a speech at the Ministerial Meeting. In his speech, he especially touched on the food insecurity in the region and what needs to be done under the leadership of RPFS, which was released with great effort this year.
In the Tashkent Declaration issued as a result of the Ministerial Meeting held on 7 July, RPFS was endorsed and ECO-RCCFS appreciated for its activities. In addition, the first steps towards transforming ECO-RCCFS to a specialized body under ECO were taken at this meeting.
ECO 6th HLEM and 7th Agriculture Ministers Meeting were hosted by Uzbekistan on 5-6 July 2022. ECO-RCCFS presented both its activities and two analysis reports on food security in the region, and submitted the RPFS to the regional representatives.
H.E. Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as the Chairman of 14th Summit Meeting inaugurated the forum. He stated that the ECO-RCCFS, which continues its activities in Ankara, plays an important role in ensuring food security and also development of the agricultural sector in the region.
With the support of the UN Resident Coordinator Office and FAO-SEC, the workshop was organized for ECO and BSEC Member Countries, and it was aimed to define possible coalition and cooperation areas and priority areas with the views of regional stakeholders.
Within the scope of the UN Food Systems Summit, the Sustainable Food Systems Regional Workshop towards Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 was held on October 18, 2021.
