@AmiNBayern@ArmchairAtty@txgermanbre I live in Germany! And I'm publicly insured, so the main consideration for hospitals is distance and what they offer.
@AmiNBayern@ArmchairAtty@txgermanbre She gave birth at 20 weeks, full term is 40 weeks. But also this would never happen in Germany bc she'd be off on sick leave immediately and not have to go back to work at all, most likely.
@Azziielle I'm currently pregnant, never had an abortion, always been pro choice. This pregnancy has made me even more pro choice, nobody who doesn't want to be pregnant should have to go through this
@BeckyTheChicken I'm at the end of 1st trimester and glad that it's been winter. Not missing out on much being inside and feeling sick all the time. And I'll be big in summer when I can wear nice floaty dresses and sandals instead of boots and layers!
@TiffaniMarie483 Have you tried Cariban? I've also been very nauseous and that has helped get it manageable. I've heard that smelling peppermint essential oil helps, I want to get some
@aluvenguza I've used them for over a decade. You don't feel it at all. Kinda similar to a tampon but no string. Mostly stays in long enough that you don't need to empty in public, but if so then with a water bottle to rinse. Up to 12 hrs. Medical silicone. Not at all!
@emilykmay I did tell everyone officially today though, bc I had my first trimester screening and got my NIPT- test results and everything looks healthy! After I called my managers I literally went around the office telling whoever was there, it was so fun
@emilykmay I'm pregnant for the first time, just at the end of the first trimester, and if my job wasn't mostly wfh I'd probably have had to ask for pregnancy accommodations early on bc I've felt so shit. Haven't told them officially yet. I need to eat more often and lie down for a bit
@ohinetahi@emilykmay This is the main reason I looked for a job w flexible wfh back when I was looking. My dad was bedridden and I spent about a week a month by him. Meant I could be present and help out in the last years of his life, it made a world of difference.
