ECoDAs works to reverse biodiversity loss, advance sustainable land use, and secure the rights and livelihoods of indigenous and forest communities in Cameroon.
What are the challenges of ensuring that the protection of biodiversity is not at the expense of rural livelihoods or quality of life? https://t.co/n8LLaom3bt
WATER FOR PEOPLE AND NATURE
Water is nature, water is everything. Without water, there is no life, no health, no development. And at the foundation of all these benefits lies nature, healthy ecosystems such as river basins, wetlands and forests. We all have a role to play.
Water is still a big problem in many communities. There are some fresh water resources that are facing a lot of human threats due to their numerous activities encroaching into these endangered water resources with devastating consequences such as water pollution, etc.
Poor communities are often forced to over exploit their natural resources in order to survive thereby making water sources very vulnerable. The poor and rural areas are more susceptible to ill-health than are the well-offs and urban communities. @ecodascameroon@Pollinationproj
"I love trees, and to me, they represent life and hope. Once you plant them, they grow up, they speak to you, they give you a sense of satisfaction, I think it's the green colour. I tell people, I think heaven is green." Professor Wangari Maathai
