The Biodiversity and Landscape Ecology lab (CREAF-CSIC) with ICO, CTFC investigates factors determining species distributions in a complex and changing world.
Long‐term comparison shows protected and non‐protected forests differ in harvesting, but not in wildfires or drought‐driven dieback. @jmespelta @CREAF_ecologia @ctforestal https://t.co/R43Poq2Z1k

I will share many examples of ChatGPT Images 2.0 that I generated during early access testing. It is truly incredible what it can create! The image below is almost a replica of the first page of a Nature article, but what is actually unbelievable is that the content actually makes biological sense! In fact, I generated the full 8 pages of this paper, and I will share those as well.
The prompt was simply: “Create a Nature paper front page on Klingon biology and diseases, by Derya Unutmaz, Starfleet, USS Enterprise, Mars” or my dream paper 😅
📢 Discover our new factsheet on the Wild Pre-Pyrenees project (#WPP), developed within the Endangered Landscapes & Seascapes Programme, which helped design a restoration plan integrating ecological recovery with social and economic benefits.
👉 Explore the key insights: https://t.co/iDpoZYr6qn
🔥 Goal: Identify and assess key ecological processes in the western Catalan Pre-Pyrenees, and develop a strategic restoration plan to recover natural dynamics while generating socio-economic benefits with local stakeholders.
✅ #PCF coordinated #WPP, bringing together a multidisciplinary team and providing supervision and technical support to ensure the project’s successful implementation.

Our new article in Science Advances, led by Gabriele Midolo, identifies the main factors driving changes in the species composition of plant communities across Europe: eutrophication, denser, more productive vegetation, and drying of wetlands. https://t.co/ZBTCKVFkFm
Our paper on crop and landscape heterogeneity and agrobiodiversity in @Ecology_Letters is now a Top Cited Article (2024). Part of my PhD work and great to see it gaining attention!

Excited so share our new work out in @ConservationSP that sheds light on the complex impacts of #savanna afforestation on birds across a rainfall gradient in India which is comparable to that of the Serengeti!
