Forgot to update here. Here it is.
Launched a new product on Monday, started off strong with over 5.5 roas, scaled the budget up x3, fucked the whole campaign up. Lesson learned - listen to yourself at all time.
Today back down to 100$ a day, slowly building up the campaign.
@shauneng First time running a product at breakeven and not a huge loss. Spent about 2,000$ and the only ad that got sales started getting cooked.
Iterations never get spend.
Do I drop the product or relaunch or what? Kinda lost ๐๐ผ
Campaign is paused. Time to recalibrate.
Gonna relaunch by Sunday, have to do research and study competitors plus my ads before I create new ads.
Iโm gonna test this product one more time then we move on.
Back to my original point - that ad wouldโve never scaled.
I was happy with it being breakeven because it was the first ad I made for this product.
I learned my lesson, breakeven is not what Iโm after.
If an ad is at breakeven for a few days I cut it.
No more waiting around
Right now itโs late, Iโm tired and pissed so I wonโt do anything hasty.
But Iโm gonna turn the whole campaign off and recalibrate.
I will give this product a second chance because I truly believe it can work.
Not making this decision now but this is where Iโm headed
PT2
At no point has this ad been PROFITABLE.
Perhaps for a day here and there, at target roas at best but this is not why Iโm doing ecom.
2.4 roas at 100$ spend is dogshit.
Iโm in this game for 4-5-6-10 roas numbers and I will get them.
No matter what.
Last four days have been my worst since starting paid ads and with this brand especially.
They taught me something important tho
Always pay attention to the numbers.
The main ad getting all my spend and sales is at best break even.
No matter in what time period I look
Been quiet for a few days, now Iโm back.
Ads for this brand went live on 21st of June, weโre now about two weeks in.
Slight loss of money, roughly 200$ give or take, ads at around breakeven roas but COGS makes us lose. Itโs fine
This is just the beginning.
100K months soon
Tomorrow Iโm off to Warsaw with my gf so wonโt be able to test new ads for 4 days, not sure what I think about this situation.
Regardless, got faith and I know it will all work out. Peace
Iโve scaled the campaign from $100 to $150, itโs the first time Iโve ever bumped the budgets up on a campaign and Iโm lowkey worried idek why.
Main problem right now is that all these sales are coming from one adset, I really donโt like that.
Been quiet for a while but here it is.
Yesterday was the best day weโve had with this brand so far.
About 2.3 roas. Roughly 15% of spend went to a failed adset Iโve turned off so technically was a very strong day with 29.5% profit margin.
3rd day of testing is almost coming to a close.
This is the first time I am ever profitable with paid ads (not on a specific day)
The test went relatively good.
Main problem is a ton of rejected ads for absolutely no reason.
Regardless, itโs time to make some more ads.
Had a couple sales while I was sleeping.
Day ended at around -40$, itโs OK for first day.
Itโs time to deepen my understanding of my customer.
Avatar research is not a copy paste process. Itโs a learning process that takes time.
0 ATCs. Honestly itโs been happening a lot lately so Iโm going to focus on that.
I know itโs 100% ad issue, even though my soft metrics are not bad.
There has to be something Iโm missing with long form MSLs.
Something that makes my customer not have any buying intent.
