@oikeios Your internalization of works and debates in political ecology and allied fields was clear to me when I read Web of Life. I think many find the book difficult. I read it whilst studying ecological economics and political ecology and for me it was an extremely productive synthesis

@oikeios New heat! Your writing on a dialectical historical method has also been highly influential both in the result and how in retrospect I might have done the research differently. My main regret is not having taken a more historical approach to the subject matter.

Completing this PHD was by far the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It was an insane privilege to be paid to study and do critical research in economic geography but it was also a uniquely challenging and maddening experience.
