@ComfortEagle1@HossTheLoveDane So Community BAD
Jungle and fastest, most powerful Good?
What did your mother do to you?
You are a sad example of humanity!
@77hhhfhfgfbfdh@KobeissiLetter Growth of middle class happened after WWII. Special circumstances. Then propaganda and complacency lost it. People spent more time keeping up with the Jones than building wealth.
@RossGivens_@KobeissiLetter There is truth here but lowering the taxes on the higher income, allowing them to buy treasures w/ that money compounded their wealth and increased deficit
@DiMartinoBooth how much of this is held by what percentage of those over 70? From what I hear, the majority of older people are living hand to mouth. Is this true or is that media hype?
@Poeslawisalive Really, you laid awake and thought about that? What are you a scared child? If you want to worry, there are lots of real things to worry about. Not that!
@adamtaggart We must return to the rule of law where all people are treated equally. Remove the possibilities of regulatory capture. You have to admit that capitalism worked much better when we had lots of resources to exploit. Not so easy with conglomerates and multi nationals in control.
@Stoxx_Beaver@KobeissiLetter Sorry, the Fed can only control the rates by QE or QT, not by raising or lowering the FFR which is the rate they pay on reserves held for member banks. Warsh says he is determined to reduce the balance sheet. Which is again going up and not working
@OptioNerd1@KobeissiLetter In a REAL economy, borrowed money is invested in value added productive enterprise, not used as leverage in highly dubious speculative endeavors.
@jstone9@KobeissiLetter With ever increasing amounts of debt, there has to come a time with it is impossible to make the payments. So you pretend to pay PIK or you add the pmt on to the end. Then there becomes the problem of creating more new debt in this environment. And lenders want a better deal.
@JeffSnider_EDU the other thing that can drive rates higher is a lack of liquidity. Money is created by new loans for either new production OR inflated value of collateral. Money is eliminated by defaults and low actual productive output or the ability to purchase it.
