Our third COP Climate Summit was held today.
Each delegate presented a proposed solution to a current environmental problem facing our school and community. We then voted on each suggestion.

Swallows enjoyed popping into the Community Garden at Pennar Hall today to see how the fruit trees they planted are thriving.
So wonderful to see how the community has come together to make this fabulous space. Fantastic work all!

As part of Dosbarth Puffin's marble in the jar reward this term they chose to have a campfire with Mrs Taylor. They enjoyed games about Trust and a campfire making s'mores and learning how to be safe. Diolch Mrs Taylor! @PembsOutdoorSch @_OLW_

20th - 24th May is Walk to School Week.
The Green Team would like to encourage as many of you as possible to walk, cycle or scoot to school.
You can help the environment and earn points for your class!
The winning class will get a prize at the end of the week.

A huge thank you to the families of Dosbarth Puffins who came out to help clear, weed and plant in our outdoor gardening project.
Everyone got stuck in and we got a huge amount done on a very warm afternoon. It's looking amazing! @PembsOutdoorSch @_OLW_

To celebrate @EarthDay today the Puffins discussed ways to look after the Planet including using refillable water bottles, litter picks and planting more flowers. We made Earth day hats and enjoyed being outside! @_OLW_ @PembsOutdoorSch

Dosbarth Puffins worked hard planting more sunflower seeds, putting sunflower seedlings into bigger pots and adding a lavender plant to the bee planter. We enjoyed getting our hands muddy and finding some worms and snails! 🌻🐝🪱🐌 @_OLW_ @PembsOutdoorSch

Dosbarth Puffins showed huge teamwork in tidying our outdoor area this week and getting it cleared of any rubbish, putting all sticks in a pile before our big project. Da iawn Puffins! @_OLW_ @PembsOutdoorSch

Dosbarth Puffins read 'The Tiny seed' and planted our own sunflowers in our outdoor learning. We made our own flower pots from newspaper before adding compost and the sunflower seed. We look forward to seeing how tall they grow! @_OLW_ @EcoPembs

Dosbarth Puffins made the most of the sunshine and collected data on dandelions to find out if there's enough dandelions for our School bees. We threw the hoops and counted how many dandelions inside. @_OLW_ @PembsOutdoorSch

Swallows had a busy morning at Pennar Hall - clearing the litter from the site and planting 6 fruit trees as part of the Community Garden space we are creating.

The sun came out in time for Swallows to enjoy their Forest School session.
We played some new games and used our observation skills to complete a scavenger hunt. @_OLW_ @PembsOutdoorSch

Dosbarth Puffins had a discussion this week about ways we can #showthelove for nature. We wrote our ideas on green hearts, they included planting flowers, feeding the birds and turning the taps off @TheCCoalition 💚💚 💚
