The earthquake has left at least 50 people injured. A suspected explosion caused part of a large shopping mall’s second floor to collapse, reportedly trapping several people inside.
I broke my site this morning.
One unclosed /* killed every CSS rule after line 12. The site went live in Times New Roman with blue underlined links.
Then:
mojave deployments sable
mojave rollback sable 8221f921

The old version was live again in seconds.
No rebuild. No CI run required.
Rollback just moves a pointer to a build that already exists.

On World Mangrove Day, WWF-Pakistan celebrates a story of recovery from the Indus Delta, where restoring mangroves has meant more than planting trees.
Through an integrated Nature-based Solutions approach combining area-based management, community stewardship, restoration, sustainable fisheries, freshwater security and science-based monitoring, targeted mangrove landscapes are showing measurable signs of recovery.
GIS analysis of the BMZ-supported project areas across eight clusters recorded a 33.64% overall increase in mangrove cover between 2020 and 2025.
When ecosystems and communities are strengthened together, restoration can create lasting change.

America’s software leadership was built on openness. We have the same opportunity in AI.
If we want a competitive, secure AI ecosystem whose benefits extend far beyond a handful of companies, we need to preserve access to open-weight models.
There's one caveat -- in many cases, my octocopter taught itself to fly as a quadcopter. It drives down to roughly four or five motors and holds pose there, even in some trials of nominal hover with all eight healthy. So, when 3/4 motor faults are injected, it's often already in the regime it would choose to live in anyway, for a few reasons:
> My reward is pose-only, so holding pose on 8 motors and on 4 score identically, and parking a healthy motor is free
> 70% of training was already a reduced-motor drone (dual failures weighted 0.7, single 0.2, hover 0.1), so it learned "find a surviving subset and fly that," not "fly the octo, patch faults"
Textbook reward-hacking: it maximized exactly the (admittedly faulty) objective I specified, but I'm still considering this project a success; the end goals were fully met, and a win is a win 😄
📸: A trial in which the drone chose to fly as a quad, despite only one injected motor loss.
India's water data was once fragmented, inaccessible and manually collected.
Today, 119,000+ hydro-meteorological stations feed real-time data into one national platform — enabling flood forecasting, basin planning & more nationwide.

High construction costs are a barrier to #infrastructure investment — but often a solvable one.
Weak procurement and limited market competition inflate costs in many countries. Reform these, and more investments become viable.
