Most violence against children reported between Jan–Mar 2026 occurred in communities and homes, places that should be safe. Schools, digital spaces, lodges, and care facilities also emerged as settings of risk. Child protection is everyone’s responsibility.
January to March '26, media reports in Sri Lanka documented 105 incidents affecting 224 children.
