[Jesus Loves You @John_Matthew_T]

On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus gathered with His disciples for the Passover meal. He knew that His time had come to leave this world and return to the Father. Yet, instead of asking His disciples to serve Him, Jesus did something they never expected.

He rose from the meal, wrapped a towel around His waist, poured water into a basin and began washing their feet. In those days, washing feet was a task usually performed by a servant. But Jesus, their Lord and Teacher, willingly took that humble position.

When He came to Peter, Peter questioned why Jesus would wash his feet. Jesus explained that Peter would understand later. After washing all their feet, Jesus told the disciples that He had given them an example to follow.

The One who deserved the highest honor chose to serve those He loved. He showed them that true greatness is not about being above others, but about loving them through humble actions.

"Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet."
John 13:14

Jesus showed that humility is not weakness. Even though He was their Lord, He was willing to do the work of a servant. His love was revealed not through status or power, but through what He was willing to do for others.

Following Jesus means learning to serve without always expecting recognition. It means treating people with kindness, helping when we can, and remembering that no act of loving service is beneath us.

Jesus, the King of kings, knelt to serve. If we want to follow Him, let our lives be marked by the same humility and love

The Israelites had just escaped slavery in Egypt when Pharaoh’s army came after them. With the Red Sea in front of them and the Egyptian soldiers behind them, they were terrified and didn’t know what to do. They felt trapped, but God had not abandoned them.

Moses told the people not to be afraid and to trust the Lord. God instructed him to stretch his staff over the sea. When Moses obeyed, God sent a strong east wind that pushed the waters apart, opening a path through the sea. The Israelites walked across on dry ground, with water standing like walls on both sides.

When the Egyptians followed them, God brought the waters back and the Israelites escaped safely. What had seemed like an impossible situation became a powerful moment of deliverance.

Sometimes we face situations where we can’t see a way forward. The Israelites must have wondered how they would ever escape but God made a way for them. When life feels overwhelming, remember how faithfully He helped His people through the Red Sea

Unborn lives matter

Paul and Silas were beaten and thrown into prison for preaching about Jesus. Their feet were fastened in stocks and their situation seemed hopeless. Yet, at midnight, instead of giving in to despair, they prayed and sang hymns to God while the other prisoners listened.

Suddenly, a violent earthquake shook the prison. Every door flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. The jailer woke up, saw the open doors, and feared the prisoners had escaped. But Paul called out, assuring him that everyone was still there. Trembling, the jailer asked what he must do to be saved. Paul and Silas shared the good news of Jesus with him and his household and that very night they believed and were baptized.

“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
Acts 16:31

Paul and Silas worshipped God even before their circumstances changed. Their faith did not depend on comfortable surroundings or immediate answers. And through their suffering, another family came to know the Lord.

Never let your circumstances silence your praise. Even in your darkest midnight, keep praying and trusting God. He can work in ways you cannot see & your faith may become a light that leads someone else to Him

A large crowd followed Jesus to hear Him teach, but as the day passed, the people became hungry. The disciples saw no way to feed so many people. Then Andrew brought a boy who had five small barley loaves and two fish. It seemed like almost nothing compared to the crowd, but Jesus took the food, gave thanks, and distributed it. Everyone ate until they were satisfied, and twelve baskets of leftovers were collected

“Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted.”
John 6:11

The boy had only a small lunch, but he was willing to share what he had. In Jesus hands, something small became more than enough. Never think that what you have is too little for God to use. Your kindness, your time, your faith or a simple act of generosity can make a difference in someone's life.

Don't wait until you have more to become a blessing. Give what you can with a willing heart & trust God with the rest

Joshua and the Israelites were in the middle of a difficult battle against their enemies. They were fighting for victory, but daylight was fading, and the battle could not be completed before nightfall.

Joshua knew that the outcome of the battle did not depend only on human strength. He turned to God and made a bold request: that the sun would stand still so Israel would have more time to finish the battle.

And God answered.
“So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped…”
Joshua 10:13

What Joshua asked for seemed impossible. Yet God showed that He is not limited by what seems impossible to us. The God who created the sun and moon was able to intervene in the middle of Joshua’s battle.

Joshua didn’t allow the size of the situation to make his prayer small. He believed that if God had called them to the battle, God was powerful enough to give them the victory.

Never be afraid to bring an impossible request before an unlimited God. What is beyond your ability is never beyond His power. When you have reached the end of what you can do, remember that you have not reached the end of what God can do.

Sometimes the hardest battles are the ones nobody else can see.
You may smile, keep going, and tell everyone you’re okay, while quietly carrying a pain only God knows.

But Scripture reminds us that God is not distant from our brokenness. He draws near to the hurting.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:18

Your broken heart does not push God away. Your tears do not go unnoticed.
Your weakness does not make you forgotten.

When you feel like you have no strength left, remember: God is closest when your heart is hurting the most 🙏

King Nebuchadnezzar ordered everyone to bow down to a golden image. But Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused because they would worship God alone.

The king became furious and ordered them to be thrown into a blazing furnace. They knew God could save them, but they also made it clear that they would remain faithful even if He did not.

“Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from it.”
- Daniel 3:17

The king looked into the furnace and saw not three, but four men walking around in the fire. God was with them, and they came out without being burned.

Their faith reminds us that following God doesn’t mean we will never face the fire. It means we don’t face it alone...
