@TamesideCorr TMBC says "Signing up at the grocery is easy and open to anyone".
Surely it should be for those struggling to make ends meet? Why should I be able to use it if I don't need to?
@CllrJakeFrater It's time the word 'racist' was kicked out of the English dictionary for good, having shut down debate on many serious issues over the years.
@TamesideCorr Regarding (overdue) simplicity in computing, the video in the linked-to item below says a lot.
Unfortunately, 14 years on and complexity rules.

@Rob4Reform "imagine what Reform can achieve with full control next year".
If this static page is anything to go by, don't count your chickens. Your lack of comments on here about Ashton lost you my vote in May.
Local issues matter.
@TamesideCorr "an increasingly digital world."
And an increasingly over-complicated digital world.
Those struggling with or reluctant to get on the digital ladder don't need bells and whistles on steroids, they need simplicity. For example, a standard cookie settings window, not dozens.
@TamesideCorr It's unlikely The Correspondent will criticise TMBC, so I will.
One of the ward councillors for the location below pulls his weight. The other two (Labour) don't seem to.
As for TMBC and those responsible for it not being shifted, the words pay and washers spring to mind.
@TamesideCorr More public money down the drain - with, as usual, no feedback to see what difference the project makes.
The UK is almost bankrupt yet there's always 'free' money for this and that.
Some of us hate that our massive debt is being shovelled onto future generations.
@TamesideCorr Seems the alleged voting irregularities in Ashton's St. Peter's ward back in May have been conveniently brushed under the carpet. So much for the 'democracy' our local politicians talk about (and don't mention the democratic Brexit vote (soon to be reversed?)).
@TamesideCorr Good news and announced in good time.
In the absence of an Ashton Town Team (where's it gone?), the town needs a body to promote it.
Regarding Ashton, why isn't the following being promoted?

@TamesideCorr Top marks to The Ash Tree and its staff.
That you can get a pint in there for £2 and as many coffees (refills) as you can drink for £1.89 makes it a popular venue, especially now that money is getting tight. The fact they allow children in there makes it a good family venue.
@TamesideCorr I see TMBC is telling us on Facebook about its litter picks - "Our street cleaning teams do a great job, but a clean and tidy borough is a group effort".
Meanwhile, the reality which they don't mention...
@TamesideCorr Efforts such as those shown in the link below, long overdue, deserve a mention but obviously won't get one. Far better to turn a blind eye to a problem that's blighted many people's lives for years
https://t.co/3JVlnnWq3c
@TamesideCorr More people means more houses are needed.
Link: https://t.co/gmVErGcPW3
Since more people and more houses mean an increase in CO2 emissions, where does the lunatic and costly net zero fit into this? It doesn't.
@TamesideCorr "there is still a lot more to do"
Let's hope the new influx of Ashton councillors can make that their motto and get things done and that the Correspondent can report their actions.
That below symbolises TMBC's neglect of our town. No ribbon-cutting pictures there.
