Panelsits called for the domestication of relevant international charters, encouraging a thoughtful adoption of best practices that align with local needs rather than a wholesale importation of foreign models. At the same time, they stressed the importance of standardizing key aspects of mediation practice while remaining innovative and adaptable.
The panel urged mediators to remain sensitive to the experiences of survivors, ensuring that their voices are not diminished and that the safety and well-being of all parties remain paramount.
