@LilyDAmbrosioMP A great Victorian initiative @LilyDAmbrosioMP, and well supported in the community.
A great follow up landmark program would be to enable the rest of the community to join an energy co-operative and access those same solar benefits via shared ownership.
It's our 10-year anniversary! 🎉
In 2011 our two turbines - Gale and Gusto - started generating electricity back into the grid.
Since then our co-operative has demonstrated how communities can shape our energy landscape and build a more sustainable future.

As Sir David Attenborough says, we have the skills to tackle climate change, but we need the global will.
That’s why I’m urging @G7 countries to drive a global Green Industrial Revolution to help developing nations reap the benefits of clean growth as we #BuildBackGreener.

@simonahac@GlenneDrover@dylanjmcconnell@norbs What if we were to consider these to be costs of the transition away from fossil fuels, to be met by legacy generators as part of their exit strategies?
@simonahac@GlenneDrover@dylanjmcconnell@norbs Our community energy project in the West of Victoria has picked up additional $160k cost for new grid connection studies on the distribution network.
4 lessons for Australia from around the world on energy transition
Lesson 1: build a social compact with workers
Lesson 2: plan early for any closures
Lesson 3: diversify regional economies
Lesson 4: establish funds & an authority for the transition
