Q2: our school uses a PBIS system. students get to buy prizes from the counselor and privileges in the classroom buy being respectful, responsible, and ready to learn #mschat
A3: whenever kids ask me if something is graded, I focus them on the learning - usually with an answer like "I want to see how well you understand <insert standard here>. Do your best to show me you understand." #mschat
I had a dream last night where I was having a post-observation with my principal who asked if I still wanted to be a teacher. I was so lost because I honestly didn't know. Teaching is my passion but what do you do when you're burned out by what you love? 😕 #educ502
Are you having dream and nightmares about work? Stop ignoring them. Your mind is trying to tell you something. Wonderful column from @RachelFeintzeig https://t.co/lO8nG9cjVU
I think this article needs to be examined with a critical eye. It may be uncomfortable to talk politics, but the ideas spouted by some politicians are outright harmful, and should be addressed as such if they are brought up in the classroom.
The rationale for remaining neutral in the classroom is twofold: "to avoid influencing the minds of our students, and to provide an environment for objective discussion and debate."

Getting ready to bring @PlayBlooket into my classroom for the first time. I'm nervous because I know as soon as I bring it in, that's the only thing they'll want to do! 🤣 #educ502
Moving beyond pizza & pie, fractions are one of those pain points kids carry around until their adults tweeting (ahem). Giving kids a fun, exciting place to build & master challenging skills is what we're about.

I remake this with my Ss every year. We read picture books and discuss strategies (and then try to apply them) before moving on to novels. Ss co-create, so it’s a little different each time. Such a great visual reminder on the wall! @SirIsaacBrockPS
Introduced my emergent readers to @laliloapp today. They loved the simplicity and direct feedback they got on it. Students kept asking if they could use the program more tomorrow! #educ502
We tried a multiplication game I saw online. My class loved it! Draw a clock and put a factor in the middle. The class competes in teams to put the products around the outside edge. #multiplicationgames
