𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐍 𝐃𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐒 𝐃𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐈!!!
A HUGE congratulations to Jr. Americans forward Colin Dustin on his commitment to Niagara University to play NCAA Division I hockey!
Congratulations Colin on this well-deserved commitment! Way to go! #LetsGetRowdy
Here’s one minute of Hall of Famer @chrispronger and I making the case that creating super teams at young ages actually goes against the best development principles.
“The fact we’re talking about super teams is a joke.”
Congrats @HundleyHayes! Proud of you. He has continued to work hard to get better every day and trusted the process. Well deserved on making a dream come true.
Congratulations @HundleyHayes on signing with the Toronto Maple Leafs!
Hundley becomes the 11th OBJ alumnus to sign an NHL contract. From 2015-2023, the Upper Arlington native was a core piece and team captain of the 2005 OBJ team.
I asked Tom Izzo about the viral clip of Charles Barkley defending his coaching style by saying people have gotten too soft.
Izzo: "Now we're supposed to just hug and kiss everybody... Accountability is going to be big until I leave."
Unfortunately, most of today’s culture in youth, college and pro sports has lost this formula. Been fortunate enough to see far more players / teams succeed following this formula vs those who chase the race for the name on the back.
Rick Pitino shares a masterclass on teamwork and selflessness.
"Regardless of how you play, when you play for the name on the front, the back prospers."
"When you play for the name on the back, you never prosper. All you are is guys with good stats. That's it."
Stats don't win championships - teams do.
"Play for the front. Give everything you have for the front name."
"Do everything - from diving on the floor, to blocking shots, to setting screens, to playing together. Play for the name on the front."
Great teams play for each other. They know connected teams achieve more.
"The name on the front is gonna bring big rewards for the name on the back. I guarantee it."
"Give it everything you have for this name."
The formula is simple: Put the team first, and everything else follows.
Play for the front. The back will take care of itself.

“You guys make it about the wins and losses. 25 years from now, I want them to pick up the phone and call me because they need me. I’m there for them.”
The life of a coach is an investment in people, not just points.
Build a legacy that outlasts the jersey.
Time to dance🕺
