Had the pleasure of shadowing @mvanessateacher today and getting a little glimpse into the magical world of Montessori learning. Feeling inspired. Thanks Miss Vanessa and class for making me feel welcome and showing me the ropes ๐!
Today we built on learning from last week and talked about appearance ideals for different genders (oh + a cat ๐ธ). Thinking about where we get these messages , why some of us are motivated to try to achieve these, and the cost of doing so. A thoughtful and passionate discussion!

Where do you see gender stereotypes these days?
Wrapping up final projects for "plastics" unit. Ss are challenged to invent a solution for our "plastic problem"... asked to think as unrealistic as possible. 1 student invented a new human organ that helps us eat and process plastic in our bodies๐คฏ! This is why I love teaching!
The past two weeks we've been looking for signs of spring to help remind us that warmer days are on their way... Some signs we found: fuzzy ๐ป caterpillars, crocus, and some mystery blue flowers. Not pictured: 2 bunnies, a Robin, and ๐ท tulip stems!! It's here! It's really here!
I had the pleasure of chatting with a Forest School educator recently and she re-inspired my love of outdoor, unstructured play. Ive strayed away recently but I've found my way back. Always in AWE of the magic connection between little humans and our natural worldโ๏ธ
