A huge poplar tree has fallen on 33 kV Pahalgam line at Siligam resulting in damage to 15 spans of the line. Power supply to Pahalgam and adjoining areas has got affected.Restoration is underway,please bear with us, Inconvenience is regretted. @KPDCLOfficial @DCAnantnag @cekpdcl

Wooden poles have low electrical conductivity, are environment friendly and can be used for HT above 11kv level as well. Only to be replaced if rotten,damaged or undersize.
