🚨 Dustin Poirier was arrested last night in Georgia for allegedly being drunk in public, per @TMZ
“Poirier, 37, was booked for ‘Public Drunk’, a misdemeanor, at 6:38 PM... before being released several hours later, a quarter after 10 PM. It's unclear what led up to Dustin's arrest.
Public drunkenness can carry up to one year in jail and/or a fine, if convicted.”
I love that we’re the new Rome. Peace with Persia in the afternoon and a gladiator fight in the evening, all on the Emperor’s birthday. Another 1,000 years.
@bronzeagemantis Was just on Lake Como. Tourist towns sardines and what hell might be like. Another Random town on lake was locals at public park beach playing volleyball. Fresh food with a waterfront view…Milan similar. Tourists are trapped in a funnel.
@dfossier@Kpedeaux A reversal of this trend would require the totally unhinged liberal lunatics to realize they need to attract Trump voters as customers and fellow community residents.
@steppedenizen Yes. I would say cities are more a Nashville equilibrium problem. Cooperation leads to more gains. There’s always more a vendor to all than a set pie to divide. The pie grows.
@steppedenizen The whole future that is coming will be interesting. Robotic cars, servants, I think will all push for a desire for urban living on a human scaled with suburban convenience. And aristocratic quality of life.
Great for the past but have to be futuristic at this point. We’re maybe a couple years away from self driving. Grid streets are perfect for Cyber Cabs. Starlink primary inter provider. Way cheaper and faster to implement. The local walkable/bikeable human scaled will be focus.
French quarter should have more pedestrian only zones/hours.
Is this a job interview for Caesar of JP? I’m in if the jobs available. Copy peak nola era. Every hood allowed a coffee shop/small market and community town square. Locals allowed to put in stocks/banish anyone not following civil order. north shore killing itself with dsld zoning.
@steppedenizen@dfossier It’s all wasted. Simple 50% across the board to start. Sewerage, water, trash are paid direct anyway. 2013 budget was half of 2026 budget. Start at 2013 for a year. Then keep cutting. No value has been added by JP government since then.
