The EDFD did a Push In for our new Squad. The history of this dates back to days when the fire service would push their horse drawn apparatus back into quarters upon returning from a fire. We continued that tradition today S231 is officially in service! @firetruckmall@edbqfire
Just a little update on the progress of the building. The fire department is in the process of finishing boxing up our mtg and moving those items. Once that is complete it will be turned over to the contractor to start the renovation our mtg room into an apparatus bay. @edbqfire
It was a great day @edbqfire as we took delivery of our new Squad! Thank you to Brindlee Mountain Fire Appartus for the excellent work they did on refurbishing this appratus! #firetruckmall
It has been a little while since we provided any updates on the Emergency Services Building. Tuckpointing on the outside is mostly completed, all entrances have been opened up into what was the old apparatus bays and all the windows are going back to their original height.
Three members of the East Dubuque Fire Department traveled to Alabama to visit Brindlee Mountain Fire Apparatus & inspect our new squad. There are a few punch list items to be taken care of and after that it will be on its way to East Dubuque. @edbqfire@firetruckmall
EDFD have started the process of cleaning the bell that was originally on top of the old fire house and then moved to the roof of our current one. This bell was manufactured in 1889 at the Buckeye Bell Foundry by Vanduzen & Tift in Cincinnanti.
