Dave Bautista is in talks to play Kratos in Amazon’s live-action God of War series, replacing Ryan Hurst after an on-set injury.

According to reports from Deadline and Variety published today, the former WWE star and Guardians of the Galaxy actor is negotiating to take over the lead role in the high-profile Prime Video adaptation of the PlayStation franchise. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s plan for city-owned grocery stores offering 30% discounts on produce, meat, and staples has drawn sharp attention over how access will be controlled.

Spanish officials have confirmed the death toll from last week’s mass migrant surge into the North African enclave of Ceuta has risen to at least 72.

Five more bodies were recovered along the coast over the weekend. Officials say some of the victims drowned while trying to reach Spanish territory by sea, while others were crushed in the chaos as crowds tried to climb a breakwater and border fence. Ceuta’s regional president noted the local morgue has received 88 bodies in total, a figure that includes people who died in smaller, earlier crossing attempts over the preceding two weeks.

Around 50,000 to 60,000 people crossed from Morocco into the tiny Spanish territory beginning Thursday in one of the largest such rushes in recent years. Nearly all have since returned to Morocco, many within 48 hours. More than 1,000 people required medical treatment. Moroccan authorities have reported a much lower death toll of 11 on their side and attributed the surge partly to social media rumors and economic hardship.

Ceuta and nearby Melilla form the European Union’s only land borders with Africa. The episode has prompted reinforced patrols, a new floating sea barrier, concern from other EU states, and renewed debate over migration management.

President Trump has called off planned massive strikes on Iran after input from Gulf leaders.
