@jackal27 I'm not at a point where I can think about things at that level.
All I know is that Trump 100% embraced hate at the end. Everything out of his mouth was hate. And I can't believe that people were ok with that. I don't really care what their reasons were.
@NonTrotski Just meeting with him doesn't violate the law. They have to talk policy to be a problem.
And also the Supreme Court already ruled that Trump is immune to most crimes. They'll probably keep covering for him unless he loses. Then he's already got enough charges for life in jail.
@DeekeTweak It's another point of differentiation that makes its easier for people that are unsure to justify buying the higher end model. Probably costs them ~$50 and lets them get away with another $100 on the MSRP.
@KrisWD40 I was very afraid of what he was going to do to a donut.
This was just sad. He thought they'd be wowed by his presence but they couldn't care less.
@IndieGamerChick I think I'll go with Cell CPU. The people behind that realized that the future of CPUs was multiple processors on one chip before most people did, but they did it in the most convoluted way possible. Cell was very complex, hard to program, limited, and very expensive.
@IndieGamerChick I want to say Nintendo signing the SNES CD deal with Sony, but at least they realized their mistake and pivoted before it destroyed them.
@CartridgeGames a) Jonathan Blow revealed himself to be a horrible person, which hurts sales and makes it harder to get your game covered
b) It got delayed for years and everyone forgot about it
@astrogamer @CartridgeGames Ah ok, I saw it out of context and thought that was revenue. Regardless, writing it off only saves you a % of what you spent. It only makes sense on stuff that's going to perform extremely badly.
@CartridgeGames And I think in general people aren't going to theaters as much as they did pre-covid, so most big budget movies underperform now. If you make a big hit it'll still do well, but if you make something that's just ok, it'll flop hard. Studios are still figuring that out tho.
@CartridgeGames There are occasional exceptions, but most of the time reshoots are just redoing a few scenes. And the marketing is often locked in well in advance.
@CartridgeGames Because $155M is still a lot more than it would be worth as a tax writeoff. And they did delay it significantly while they decided what to do about the actor. Maybe they would've cancelled it if the problems happened early in production.
@AxiomVerge I've turned down jobs because of non-compete clauses. And I've seen a very clear trend of the better workers rejecting them, and the weaker workers not caring about them.
@CartridgeGames It doesn't need to have everything. It just needs to have enough to put a dent into the royalties Sony/Nintendo would earn from 3rd party games.
@CartridgeGames They only want Gamepass on other systems because Gamepass as it is now would kill the profitability of those systems. They know how close Nintendo PlayStation came to happening, and how it would've killed Nintendo, and they're hoping Nintendo and/or Sony makes a mistake.
