WOW 🤯🇩🇰 Denmark's left-wing prime minister Mette Frederiksen wants the niqab banned in classrooms and prayer rooms removed from schools.
She hopes the measure will counter “parallel societies” of non-integrated foreigners.
Her words: "I am Denmark's prime minister. I am also a woman. And I cannot stand the oppression of women."
And this is the LEFT in Denmark.
It’s a good step in the right direction.
With the BBC renegotiating the Royal Charter which expires next year, there’s more chance of Michael Crick playing for Manchester City than Panorama making a programme about Burnham’s scandalous links with the club and the UAE.
Adelaide Springett was just 8 years old when photographer Horace Warner took the haunting 1901 portrait titled “Adelaide Springett in All Her Best Clothes.” Her boots were so worn she was too embarrassed to wear them. He photographed those as well: "Little Adelaide's best and only boots".
At the time, Adelaide and her mother were living in a Salvation Army shelter reflecting the brutal poverty endured during the Victorian era in London’s East End.
Horace Warner was a Sunday school teacher at the Bedford Institute Quaker Mission in East London. He photographed impoverished local children to document the harsh conditions in which they lived. In 1912, the Bedford Institute published his photographs alongside short stories Warner had written about the children, using the leaflets to raise money to help East London’s poor.
Adelaide’s story didn’t end with the photograph. She survived. She lived through both World Wars and died in Fulham in 1986 at the age of 93 years old
Where are our reparations for the poor conditions of our country and its people while we were spending money stopping slavery in other foreign countries?
It's remarkable how a collapsed state like Somalia, one of the world’s most failed and least diverse countries, where virtually every girl undergoes FGM and women’s rights don’t exist, has exported so many women into Western politics to lecture us about racism and misogyny...
Multiple councils in England want to jail residents who attach England flags to lampposts. The Bank of England is replacing Churchill with a hedgehog, and the government thinks the countryside is too ‘white’. This national self-loathing is relentless, says Hugo Timms

🚨 A 15-year-old schoolboy was arrested by West Midlands Police after posting online that a Conservative councillor was dressed like a “rent boy”.
In one of the most shocking cases we have seen at the Free Speech Union, Fraser, a 15-year-old @reformparty_uk activist, was woken in the night by four officers at his door. They arrested him and seized his devices.
The day before, he had been in Clacton campaigning for @Nigel_Farage in the by-election.
What had he done? A handful of Facebook posts had apparently upset a Conservative councillor in Wolverhampton so much that he called on West Midlands Police to act as his personal force.
In one post, Fraser criticised the councillor for wearing a T-shirt and shorts during a council meeting. In another, after the councillor wore a suit, Fraser remarked that he was thankfully not dressed like a “rent boy”. A third post showed the councillor with bunny ears and teeth.
On 8 September, Fraser’s lawyers received an email from West Midlands Police stating: “It is alleged that your client’s comments could be considered a hate crime offence.”
Fraser was arrested in view of his neighbours, searched twice, fingerprinted and photographed, then put in a cell. Even his shoes were taken away.
This is not something that should happen in a democracy. It is straight out of the Soviet handbook: politicians having their critics and mockers locked up.
Two months on, West Midlands Police have still not decided whether to charge Fraser.
The Free Speech Union is supporting him and will be there to defend him if he is charged.

🚨🚨Robert Jenrick, Reform UK’s Shadow Chancellor, has been reported to the police and Prevent, the Government’s counter-extremism programme, over comments he made about Islam.
The Free Speech Union has warned that the Government’s Islamophobia definition would chill the ability of elected politicians and private citizens to criticise Islam. Ministers repeatedly assured us that the “anti-Muslim hostility” definition would not silence legitimate criticism of Islam, its history or its practices. Yet here we are. We have been proved repeatedly right.
The Islamic website 5Pillars reports that @RobertJenrick was reported after appearing on @danwootton’s Outspoken programme. The complainants asked police to assess whether his remarks could fall under legislation on stirring up religious hatred. They also asked Prevent to consider whether the framing of his comments fell within its definition of extreme right-wing ideology.
On the programme, Jenrick said: “Radical Islam is a threat to everything that we hold dear in this country. That it has to be fought and destroyed. It has to be eradicated from our country. And that we can’t allow the creeping Islamification of the United Kingdom.”
He also said: “Wearing the burka, Shari’ah courts, hate preachers. End every one of these as quickly as possible, then maybe we’ve got a fighting chance of saving our country from going down the same path as France has clearly gone down.”
People need to wake up to what is happening. @JohnCleese has been reported to Prevent over comments criticising Islam, while @RupertLowe10 has been reported to the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards over his comments.
It is not extremist to criticise Islam. Blasphemy laws were abolished in this country in 2008. Yet the Government, police, activists and courts appear determined to impose one for Islam alone through the back door.
We must not let a de facto Islamic blasphemy law take root. Nor must we allow activists to weaponise Prevent to shut down criticism of Islam. Doing so would undermine the integrity of our counter-terrorism efforts.
The Free Speech Union stands with Robert Jenrick and his right to speak freely, both as a private citizen and as an elected politician.
One end of the woke spectrum is sensible: Be kind, help people, be generous...
The other end is absurd: learn to spot microaggressions, reject biology in matters of sex, teach people hypersensitivity, never stop virtue posturing, ban any sign of stoicism...encourage people to gain advantage by weaponising weakness...
They're not the same set of ideas
In the first series of Clarkson's Farm, a young woman told Jeremy Clarkson his sheep would never make money, and the wool cheque proved her right before the year was out.
Ellen Helliwell was the shepherd he hired when it became clear he could not manage 78 ewes himself. She lambed them through the night, treated their feet, and told him the arithmetic at the start.
Then came shearing. A gang arrives, charges by the head, and leaves a pile of fleeces. Clarkson sent the wool off and learned what every sheep farmer in Britain already knew. The fleece was worth less than the cost of taking it off the animal.
For 800 years that fleece was the wealth of England. It paid for the cathedrals and the wars. A sheep was kept for five or six years for her wool, and the mutton at the end was a bonus that fed the country.
Now the wool is a disposal problem, so the only thing a sheep can earn from is a lamb sold at five months. One income where there used to be three. Clarkson's flock lost money, and he said so on television.
The reason the fleece is worthless is in your wardrobe. The jumper is acrylic, the fleece jacket is polyester, the carpet is nylon, and all of them are made from oil.
Ellen could do everything a shepherd has had to do since the Bronze Age, and do it at three in the morning. The thing she could not do was compete with a plastics factory.
Check the label in your collar before you ask why British lamb costs what it costs.
Charlie Ireland was supposed to meet with representatives of the Labour Party including 'The Labour Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs' to discuss farming & agriculture. They’ve cancelled on him, for the third time.
