@yarden_shafir Hi! I'm a freelance tech journalist and I'm writing an article that is, in part, about memory-safe languages. I came across your 2024 Keynote "Memory Safe Languages Won't Save You" and I'd love to speak you about why. Would you be available for a quick call?
@girishsastry I'm a freelance journalist and I was hoping to speak to you about your Great Refactor project. I sent an email a few weeks ago, but didn't hear back. Would you be available to speak with me in the next week or so? Be great to hear more about it!

@jasonlk hi Jason. I'm writing an article for MIT Tech Review about AI coding tools. As someone with some eventful first hand experience with them I was hoping you might be available to speak with me! If so, pleas please let me know!
Huge thanks for @IEEESpectrum’s interview discussing my thoughts on the Agentic Web — a new era where AI agents will reshape how the Internet works. 🌐🤖
Today’s web is built for humans — full interfaces we click through. But agents don’t have to think, see, or act like us. They can process vast information instantly, plan, reason, negotiate, and transact on our behalf.
In the agentic web, your personal AI agent could directly collaborate with another site’s agent — understanding your intent, filtering massive data, and completing complex tasks autonomously.
This shift will require a ground-up redesign:
– New open protocols for agent-to-agent communication (like MCP, A2A)
– Systems for secure agent identity, payments, and orchestration
– Secure-by-design frameworks to protect privacy, safety, and trust
The benefits are enormous — efficiency, productivity, new economic models — but the security risks are unprecedented. Agents act with autonomy and high privilege. We must guard against misuse, data leaks, and system-level vulnerabilities.
Our goal is to build a safe, open, and trustworthy agentic web, where humans and agents collaborate seamlessly rather than replace one another.
Much work remains, but this is the future we’re building — together. 🌐✨
