It didn't matter the urban structural genius GRV was sharing round TV stations b4 the elections - he wasn't enough because of his maternal roots.
We are not led by clueless leaders. We are led by calculated, callous people protecting a system that works for them.
Nigeria works.
The monetary policy on USD conversions recently reverted wasn't supposed to be there in the first place.
They create the problem, spin up solutions as startups they can charge for licences, provide the solution.
The goal is to limit access democratization.
Nigeria works.
I was born in Lagos, bred in sango ota - lived most of my teenage years in Ota.
All the dilapidated roads have been in rot years before my family moved to Ogun State - today, those roads are still the same.
You think it is hard to fix road? Ask Alex Otti.
Nigeria works.
Corporations put an employment ceiling of 23 years for entry jobs.
The education system is designed to get you into, keep you in school for 8 yrs & spill you out at 27. After NYSC, you're beyond the cut off.
It is easily to disqualify you to put their children.
Nigeria works.
When you hear people say "Nigeria doesn't work" - shut them up.
Nigeria works.
If you design a system to fail, if it fails - it actually works.
From education, to infrastructure, to health, to commerce - everything works.
The question is - who is it working for?
I'd point at cars that'd fit me and imagine myself driving them.
I'd view not from the position of envy but from the position of satisfaction.
I'd walk in the car shop and ask the price, bargain the price, then as I leave, I'd gesture as though I'm driving out. I felt good.
4. CONSISTENTLY FEED YOUR MIND WITH THE PICTURE OF THE LIFE YOU WANT, NOT THE LIFE YOU HAVE
When I could barely boast of 10K NGN, learning cloud computing, living off tips from friends, I'd go every evening to a car shop at the bus stop.
I'd gaze at cars coming and leaving
From commercial motorcycling, to hawking, to bricklaying.
There's no odd place I haven't slept in.
Develop immunity against being shamed over what puts food on your table.
You're not engraved in its comfort but comforted in it being your launchpad to the life you deserve.
"Sometimes when you're in a dark place, you think you've been buried, but actually you've been planted"
3. IF IT IS LEGAL AND IT PUTS FOOD ON YOUR TABLE, BE PROUD OF IT
There's no odd job you'll think of in the span of the next 10 seconds that I haven't done.
Under 12 months, I had perfected the terrains of 4 cloud computing platforms and decided to freelance so I can maintain skilling up and plan my move out of the country.
As a man, the odds are against you.
As a black man, the odds are doubly against you.
SKILL UP.
Skill up based on interests or based on trend.
There are jobs everywhere. You're simply unemployable.
First Class in Microbiology fresh out of school, I couldn't get a job, I applied for Google Scholarship and was trained under 6 months to become a Cloud Engineer
2. HAVE GAP MONTHS TO SKILL UP
When a man's financial stability is threatened, the portal to depression is activated.
The source of your unhappiness is mostly tied to irregular income flow, no job.
Do not be tied to the restrictions of your first degree.
More frequently than ever, the only person you'll always constantly see beside you is YOU.
I had a father severe ties at 15, bore responsibilities of an entire family from 15, fully sponsored myself and siblings through all strata of education from the age of 15.
YOU ARE ALONE
1. NO ONE IS COMING TO HELP YOU.
Except you're a child, an animal or a woman, no one is out there to love you unconditionally.
When you brace yourself up for the worst, not many situations will put you down for long.
Navigate life ALL THE TIME, as though you're alone.
Dear struggling Kings,
I've had my own fair share of life's trouble and hopeless waiting.
Let me talk to you.
If you're
~ unsure what the future holds
~ feeling terribly lonely and all you get is rejections
~ ladened with responsibilities and no sign of help

I have scraped the rocks, tired the valley, lingered in scars.
Life is a bitch. It has fucked me & I have fucked it back.
The reason I have my pinned thread up since 2021, is because I wish someone gave me that - when all that surrounded me was the smell of burning flesh as I walked through coals in that valley.
4 years now & it's been thousands of DMs I've received of young people who have drawn hope from it.
There are certain brand deals I have turned down because they wanted me to take down my pinned thread temporarily and have theirs up.
For as long as this account stays up, it is not coming down because maybe, just maybe someone whose hope is about to be squashed, stumbles upon it.
For verily I say unto you:
There's NOTHING you aspire to that is beyond your reach.
It mostly depends on how bad you want it & sacrifice you're willing to make - just make sure you eat first.
So let’s just get this crystal clear.
If somebody is trying to manufacture a laptop in the U.S., the components that they import are going to be tariffed at 145%.
But if somebody simply makes the laptop entirely in China, they are fully tariff free?
And this is all to bring manufacturing back to the U.S.?
@maxtheairbnbguy My elder brother Ikechukwu Edeh (Cato), left for Malta in 1998 and up to this day no word or trace of him.
No one knows if he is alive or dead, though we still remember him in prayers whenever we have family prayers.
