1. Last week, the Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson toured market centres in the Western Region to collate views of ordinary market prior to presenting the 2026 in Parliament.
2. This week, the BoG has organised a 2Day workshop to celebrate the Cedi@60yrs.
3. Ipso facto, just yesterday, Friday, November 21st, 2025, the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Johnson Asiama, also paid a working visit to the Makola Market, accompanied by the 1st Deputy Governor, Dr. Zakari Mumuni and other staff of the Bank.
4. Dr. Asiama led his team to engage these market women & traders on their daily activities and wellbeing as part of efforts to deepen public awareness and appreciation of the Cedi, the national currency.
5. This outreach forms part of the Cedi@60 campaign, aimed at promoting financial awareness and boosting public confidence in the Ghanaian currency.
6. This new approach to public service exhibited by the FM & the Governor as well as other appointees of JM is very humbling, refreshing & assuring that we have indeed installed a listening Govt.
7. These little, little things is what makes the difference in governance.
