Tomorrow marks 34 years since Drop in the Park!
On September 20, 1992, nearly 30,000 folks gathered at Seattle’s Magnuson Park for the free concert built around “Rock the Vote”. The largest voter registration effort of its time, more than 3,000 attendees registered to vote that day.
The show had been originally planned for Gas Works Park earlier that year before being cancelled last minute and rescheduled with a lineup that included Cypress Hill, Seaweed, Shawn Smith, Pete Droge and Jim Rose.

35 years ago, Pearl Jam closed out the Sounds of Seattle concert series at the Mural Amphitheatre. A hometown crowd of 4,000 showed up for the free, outdoor concert and just a few days later, the band's debut record Ten was officially released into the ether. #PEARLJAM35

MLB commissioner Rob Manfred at Field of Dreams in 2021:
"There's nothing more important to us as a business priority than delivering games to fans. That's what we're about. The blackout situation is a complicated one. It involves regional broadcasters, distributors, our individual clubs and us. And we are spending a tremendous amount of time in an effort to get to a better place in terms of where our games are distributed. It is the top priority for us right now."
I have the MLB app and I'm blacked out from watching all 6 teams on Iowa's border.

All told, as a Tigers fan, he'll miss at least 50 games this season.
Is this "growing the game," @MLB?
My dad is 75 and lives in Iowa. He got the MLB Extra Innings package to watch the Tigers again this year - something he plans his whole day around.
Tonight, Detroit (664 miles from his house) hosted Milwaukee (360 miles from his house). Couldn't watch. Blacked out. (1/2)
