A reported cougar sighting in Shaughnessy earlier today turned out to be a Savannah cat, which is a large house pet. Officers captured the cat and returned it to its owner.
https://t.co/sXI62zD9ys has graciously offered to sponsor a redo party for Max. We've asked that it be turned into a graduation celebration for his class as a thank you to all for being such a supportive community. Everyone agrees this is a good way to be inclusive & heal wounds
Vancouver has completely failed when it comes to providing enough schools in the core of the city, and every year it causes stress for parents with a child entering Kindergarten

Hi! I'm looking to interview a Vancouver parent who is on the wait list to get their kid into their catchment school for Kindergarten.
If this is you, please DM me!

@Urban_fibre Thanks for the reply! Yes, everything’s working ok now. Is there a long-term fix to prevent this from recurring? This is the second unexpected outage in the past week.
Since I’m asked this CONSTANTLY, if your city-region is REALLY concerned about “solving car congestion,” you need a combination of smart land-use, walking/biking/transit infrastructure that’s inviting, & a pricing mechanism for driving that’s high enough to get people to change.

Those choosing to live in the suburbs (it’s not a choice for everyone, but for many it IS, chasing “more house/yard”) aren't entitled to free-flow car traffic capacity into the city at the expense of the taxes, health, safety & quality of life of city-dwellers. HT @IanLockwoodPE
“We can’t afford to be passive. Sprawl advocates are already using this pandemic to champion more low-density, spread-out suburban devt. Car companies will use it to try to convince us that cars are safe & transit isn’t.” - @BrentToderian a year ago today https://t.co/IEXvkbw60z
.@Urban_fibre Is there an outage right now, either system-wide or in downtown Vancouver? My connection has been offline for the past hour. I already left a voicemail message with tech support. Thanks.
