A film couple who deserves to me mentioned alongside the all-time great screen couples yet.. truth be told... seldom is.

If we're being completely honest, neither star receives the recognition they deserve. I'm not sure why, but I suspect it's because their films (while completely wonderful) often fly beneath the radar of films currently shown and celebrated.

There are so many things to love about My Man Godfrey (1936). But the cast is inspired. William Powell, my beloveds deadpan Jean Dixon & Carole Lombard, who somehow manages to be daffy w/o being annoying. Gail Patrick, Eugene Pallette, Alice Brady. And Alan Mowbray. Love it! 🎬
