@sjs856 for an extra challenge: please also explain a vaccine-induced mechanism that causes autism without implying that autism is the result of brain damage 😇
Chicanos understood the assignment.
We are not a monolith. We don’t grow up with the same lived experiences. Cubans don’t understand what it’s like to live undocumented.
Central/S. Americans have different fears than Mexicans.
Stop saying Latinos are all the same.
@Efeso1001@sergiodelgado@elchicanomarine bc a lot of nazis fled to argentina post ww2
and also because argentina is uncharacteristically “white” due to a systematic eradication of their Afro-Latino population in the late 1800s
I told yall. It might be a hard pill to swallow but this “the youth are inherently progressive” is BS. They have ZERO media literacy and studies show they fall for scams at the same rate as BOOMERS. Anti intellectualism, hyper consumerism, misinformation and shallow politics …
people on secondhand websites are DELUSIONAL
please tell my why you’re selling your USED items for $10-$20 less than they were NEW???
I can buy them NEW with a couple discounts for the price you’re selling them used. please be SO for real
there is an astoundingly high population of adults in the United States who are native English speakers, but who quite literally cannot read beyond basic words and phrases. it's just that most of them have spent decades concealing it through elaborate shortcuts and guesswork
Stephen Matthews used giving his dog a bathroom break as a ruse to get his dates to his house. He then drugged, r*ped, and filmed his victims to blackmail later. But his parents and him would like you to know he's a good person and just had a slip in judgement. 😒
@suchnerve note for this specifically: we DO notice the literacy problems, we just do not have time for remediation during the school year bc of testing
It used to be that you literally could not use a computer if you didn’t know how to read. I don’t think we should scale back graphical user interfaces, but I do think reading-age kids should be started on text-heavy software instead of being coddled with toddler-friendly apps.
Also, there’s definitely a cause-and-effect web connecting illiteracy rates, parents being too overworked to pay sufficient attention to their kids, teachers being too overwhelmed to notice literacy problems in students, and oversimplified GUIs not requiring literacy to operate.
My Roman Empire:
Illiteracy is so common that when someone online misunderstands something you said and gets angry at you for something you didn’t even say, there’s a very good chance thet they literally just can’t read.
