If any publications out there want to commission a piece on the NikacadoAvocado situation - about him banking 2 years of videos and then posting after a dramatic weight loss and saying it was all an act… hit me up.
PhD in health/wellness/YouTube/life writing over here!
I was interviewed for the @mamamiaaus podcast @thequicky about tradwives.
Today is another day of being thankful for a very cool job (@Flinders) where I get to talk to talented, wonderful people about the things that I’m obsessed with.

Nara Smith's stylised look is part of a carefully honed aesthetic. Her glamorous outfits may be antithetical to the practicalities of the life she presents, but they are integral to her brand, explains @edithjhil @Flinders https://t.co/eDhAXmPtxl
The take of my article? How can you cook with rings on? Do you clean them every day? Does someone clean them for you? Is it your one secret gross thing in an otherwise perfectly curated aesthetic life??? I have to know.
I’m writing an article on Nara Smith and while doing some reading to see what takes people have been taking, I’ve noticed no one is talking about how she never takes her rings off?
Kneading dough? Rings. Cheese from scratch? Rings.
This has to be an alternate universe.
Want to listen to something fun on your way to work today? I’ll be live on ABC’s Radio National Life Matters show, at talking about social media can share stories of ill-health.

humanities scholars see a STEM topic they don't understand and think "damn, guess i don't understand that. they must be smart" while STEM people see a humanities topic they don't understand & go "they must just be making shit up"
There's been a rise in TikTok trends of “testing” a partner’s loyalty or the strength of a relationship
🍊 However, as @edithjhill + Lydia Woodyatt (@flinders) explain, these "bird tests" and orange peel "theories" can be harmful to you and your partner. https://t.co/5k9xW1A0Iy

Quiet on Set, a new documentary about Nickelodeon, raises questions about the protections in place for child stars – both in and out of the film industry.
🎬 In the age of social media, writes @edithjhill (@flinders), this is an even bigger problem. https://t.co/hpESBXqFPT
Some days I really love my job - on @JOY949 talking about the Nickelodeon Quiet on Set docco, Jojo Siwa’s TikTok infamy, and @purplepingers excellent work around shit rentals and vacancy rates during a housing crisis.
If you have a vacant home and don’t want it on @purplepingers’ list, there are two simple options:
1. Get $30,000+ per year in rent.
2. Get hundreds of thousands of dollars, or millions, for selling it.
The fact you’re turning these down, then complaining, is actually insane.
@purplepingers doing the lords work. Owning property and intentionally keeping it vacant during a housing crisis is criminal. Housing is a human right.
