You can make spider man style fake parallax windows in CS2!
There is no room there, zero geometry is drawn apart from the glass, just a neat way of using the parallax corrected cubemaps source2 offers
#counterstrike
Used on the new Train remake in #cs2, these windows use the Transmissive Backface Ndotl feature in the Csgo_Complex shader. This allows lights to pass through the backfaces while also lighting up the glass mesh itself. Very neat trick!
@Waskero Breach, a community map made by @yanzl_, uses the Csgo Simple 3layer Parallax shader to do something similar to those games, but not the same.
Have a prop you want to physics sim but can't because it doesn't have a convex hull collision model? You can by making a placeholder!
Hotkeys used:
Alt + T: Align object to object under mouse

Constrain lets you slide along geometry and is usable in all edit modes. How: Grab a handle (Move, Scale, or Rotate!), then hold alt.
It doesn't stay on grid that great, but very useful for other tasks.

There's a few options in the pie menu. When I chose Origin, it was mirroring it at the world origin. If you're to choose slice, it will merge the edges at the center if it can.
I haven't looked too much into the other options, like "Cache Position." I have 0 idea what it does.
Screen Reflect is another tool for mirroring selected faces. CTRL+ALT+W to bring up the pie menu, then you choose which direction, based on your current view, to mirror it to. Very useful for quick mirroring.
