The Service of Reflection took place last week at the Covid Memorial Garden in Plaistow Park, honouring our residents who lost their lives and the staff, volunteers, and residents who supported the community during the pandemic.
The opening of the Queen Elizabeth Memorial Pathway in Beckton Parks is celebrated with pupils from Ellen Wilkinson Primary School.
The newly formed Beckton Meadows is home to this new memorial pathway dedicated to Queen Elizabeth II.

Cabinet today approved almost £10m in improvements to the borough’s roads, pavements & cycle ways including: £8.5m on resurfacing for year ahead, £700,000 on repairing potholes & £25,000 on repainting lines. Members heard 109km of roads in Newham have been resurfaced since 2016
It also commemorates frontline service workers and volunteers who helped the people of Newham through the pandemic.

Our Covid memorial garden was unveiled today in Plaistow Park. The memorial garden is dedicated to residents who died of Covid-19.
The garden was officially opened to the public at a ceremony earlier on today. Over 100 residents came out to be part of the unveiling moment.
