@beckyferreira@nytimes Great story. Here's an odd/old anecdote: I graduated from Columbia J-School in 1970. My master's thesis described the inevitability of a joint USA-USSR mission. I approached NYT to do a story based on it. The idea was rejected as impossible due to military tech involved.
@TimothyImholt They should give up but this sign isnt a sign. Was on board of small Dallas- company when W-F mgt sabotaged data pjt that would have exposed its fake customer accounts months before W-F was finally outed. W-F didn't pay. The little company died.
@dahvnyc@StreetsblogNYC@DaveCoIon@GershKuntzman@emily_lip@kduggan16@SophLebo NYC would have been first to impose congestion pricing BEFORE improving mass transit. The first projects, subway signals, should come from general funds, as they are not focused on the specific area to be decongested. The big need: accessiblity. Timetable for that arrival: 2055.
@NickKristof In resp to comments on one-sided, heartfelt Gaza story you said we send "money" to Israel. We help pay for defensive weapons made in USA. The baseline $1.3 bil/yr to Israel & Egypt was Carter peace bribe and balloons after every Hamas attack for Iron Dome ammo.
@MBTA There is also a post on MBTA site that issue is late finish to overnight work. I suspect I'll have to drive from Revere to appointment in Newton Center today...
@MBTA Isn't it obvious that either a pantograph-related replacement part is failing or abadly trained yard crew is making mistakes, or calibration tool for checking pantograph tension is likely core problem? What changed on Pantagraph or overhead maintenance a few weeks ago? What?
@RepJamesComer As anyone with a bank account knows, the money thus went to Hunter Biden's account and there would be no reason to anticipate that Joe Biden knew or could know the transfer ever took place. If this is all you got, you got nothing.
@MBTA Missed a medical appointment at Davis Square even though I had allowed an extra hour to get there on T. No one at Park would tell me where the problem was. Waited with huge crowd 25 min for promised shuttle. Gave up. Will drive next time. You notified media but not riders.
@MBTA Horrible wasted day, medical appointment cancelled, even though, as always, I allowed an extra hour between Wonderland and Davis Square. Waited at Park 25 minutes for zero shuttles to show up. Bad instructions in station, MBTA had time to alert press but not riders on trains.
@MBTA MBTA notified press that Red Line is running again. I was on Blue Line heading home from missed doctor appointment. I had allowed an extra hour to get there. Not enough time. But if media was not notified, why not announce in stations and on trains?
@MBTA Got to Park St on Green Line at 10 am, traveling to Davis Square for medical appointment. Had to go all the way downstairs to Red platform to be pushed upstairs. Waited with maybe 1000 people for shuttles that never came. Canceled appointment. Went home.
@nayyeroar I spent a lot of time in Africa early in my career in the 1970s and met many Africans who had been educated in Moscow. They all hated it and decried racism there. BTW, the Russian (actually ethnic Ukrainian) arms dealer served 15 years of 25 yr sentence.
@JamieoJohnson So Trump admits he didn't declassified anything -- but insists he thought about it. Even if it made sense, none of the documents are his. They belong to us, held by national archives.
