@sarahadams I'm a small church pastor. Live streams are not the problem. "Hardening our churches" is not the answer. Be wise. Be aware. Never suborn the gospel to fear.
@jakepaul A police officer was working his way up on the roof. The shooter turned and pointed his weapon at the officer, who then ducked back under the edge. The shooter then rushed his shot, and the counter sniper immediately took him down.
@PastorMark Popular idea among people with limited knowledge of Semitic languages, but an incorrect one. There is a phonetic similarity between the acronym HAMAS and the Hebrew word חמס, but they have zero etymological connection.
We are so desperate to have all the answers rather than acknowledging that at the core of our faith is Jesus - the transcendent God dwelling in the mundane. He is the great and wonderful paradox.
@tonymorganlive Interesting quote, but I would argue that the metaphor of the “front door” assumes that people are coming to us rather than us reaching out to them. It assumes the attractional model rather than a missional model.
@coldxman Tipping was invented by aristocrats and racists, and now it is employed by companies to avoid paying taxes on their employees’ income. Companies should not be forcing employees to rely upon tips in the first place.
I fight for an ideal that is the Church - fight against tradition, inertia, corruption, ego, sin - because like all things, the Church was created to be good and all too often it is not. https://t.co/W0oP7KRQDc
How do we forgive the unforgivable? You don’t forgive those who have wrong with you. Jesus forgives them and you agree with him. https://t.co/oGE4Lm9HZ9
