This Memorial Day, we remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to our country. Today, we're proud to kick off the eastern leg of our coast-to-coast tour as Big Boy #up4014 heads east from its home base in Cheyenne, celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.
Big Boy resumes her coast to coast tour tomorrow! 🤩
She’s sporting a new whistle along with a specially designed "shield" numberplate for the epic and historic journey! 🥳
Y’all stay safe out there for those chasing or viewing and have fun! 😄
Life is a lot like a well-worn pair of boots.
Six steps. Six foundations you walk on every single day.
Faith — the sole that keeps you grounded when the road gets rocky.
Family — the support that holds you steady through every mile.
Marriage — the fit that carries you through the long hauls.
Purpose — the direction that keeps you moving forward.
Friendship — the traction that helps you climb the tough hills.
You — the leather that protects everything underneath.
But here’s the part most folks miss:
“Don’t wait until the soles are worn through and the seams are splitting to take care of them. Oil the leather while it’s still strong. Mend the stitches before they tear. Break them in with intention, not desperation.”
Most people only reach for what matters when life starts blistering their feet. They wait for the breakdown, the heartbreak, the crisis—then suddenly want to fix what they’ve neglected for years.
Real wisdom? Maintain what carries you while you’re still walking tall. Strengthen your foundations in the good seasons so they can hold you when the storms come.
Because the road doesn’t get easier—you just get better at walking it when your boots are already taken care of.
What’s one “foundation” you’re committing to tune up while life is still good? Drop it below. 👇
