@SamsonMKasumba No one cares whether you love Uganda or not if you doing your private business; but when you elect to represent Ugandans in certain public offices, your allegiance to Ugandan interests must be assessed. Perceived or actual disloyalty to the state should be questioned!!
@sejudav What you call REAL justice only becomes REAL INJUSTICE if you are the standing in the dock and hoping for a fair trial. The Public lynching of Okello in the Mobile Court was nauseating. Did the court have power to find innocent? Or these courts are only for the perceived guilty?
The Dr Matthew Lukwiya story you never hear about.
A few days ago, I saw someone talking about Heroes Day and mentioned Dr. Lukwiya among them. It made me realise that most of us know him simply as the doctor who died treating Ebola patients at Lacor Hospital in 2000, and not much else.
I felt slightly guilty for not knowing more about a man who seems to transcend history, so I went looking for the full story of Dr. Matthew Lukwiya. What I found was a man who had spent the twenty years before Ebola practising exactly the kind of courage that the outbreak would eventually demand of him.
This is what many of us didn’t know about Dr. Matthew, as he was lovingly called.

@Atukundaisaac1@adoniaayebare@SarahBireete And there was a mischief it intended to cure. I still think that that mischief still exists today. Imagine Uganda were at war with Rwanda and the Minister in charge of security held both citizenships? Have u seen the oath one takes to become an American? This is still good law.
@Atukundaisaac1@adoniaayebare@SarahBireete Rules are rules and should be respected by all kin and sundry. The prohibition of dual citizenship is to protect the state and not to single out individual loyalty. Very soon others will argue that Justice Ngonda Tende is too competent to retire now. May be true, but.....
@kasujja@UgandaMediaCent Mine, is an observation as a consumer of your services and tax payer...whether mbisobola oba sibisobola is not the issue, especially when your biggest public out-cry is under funding; and yet all I see is an exciting Gen Z photo hub!!
Big day for the @UgandaMediaCent team!
We joined forces with the Presidential Press Unit at State House to photograph Uganda’s new cabinet — and the results are exceptional.
Massive congratulations to lead photographer Joel Zimbe, his deputy Sharif Nsimbe, and the incredible Ramlah Kakumba — a 20-year-old intern whose dedication and talent shone throughout.
@AbuMwesigwa and your team, thank you.
Grateful for the PPU’s collaboration and long may we work together.
We build Uganda together!
@SedrackAtuhaire@qataharraymond Fortunately, there are so many self appointed moral cops in these streets with an inflated sense of self importance, narcissistic af and offer moral judgement without any iota of imperical evidence of how they arrived to their deductions, except "high opinions"
@BalaamBarugahar@DailyMonitor Actually, Monitor attempted to be respectful. Real journalism requires that it should use a surname. So the correct headline, if it were Kalinaki, would be, "Where is Kataha?"
@DailyMonitor He is finito finito... he can't be Ugandan! His passport should be recalled and canceled and he should be charged, then asked to process a working permit if he wants to continue to work in Uganda or get registered as a citizen by registration!!!!
@IsaacSsemakadde A tale of two cities
