When I heard about Senator Graham’s death last night, the first thing I thought about was not all the things he said and did in service of Donald Trump. I thought of the time before Donald Trump when he was a brother to Senator John McCain.

A time when senators from different parties could fight about politics and still be friends. A time when a conservative Republican from South Carolina could say of my father: “If you can’t admire Joe Biden as a person, you’ve got a problem. He’s the nicest person I’ve ever met in politics. As good a man as God ever created.”

That is the Senator Graham I will remember today. Not because I have forgotten what came after. Because in that memory there is hope. Hope for a country where brothers can fight like hell over policy and still share a meal, and a laugh, and the loss of the people they love.

I will choose to remember the time before Trump. Because I believe in an America after Trump.

Лена Бориславова: След като свърши своята политическа задача срещу ПП, обвинението срещу Благо Коцев претърпя провал.

Междувременно обаче:

1. Благо Коцев прекара почти 5 месеца в ареста - по негодно обвинение.

2. Деян Иванов, зам-кмет от екипа на Коцев, се отрече от показанията си срещу него, като дадени под натиск и принуда - не от кого да е , а от шефа на КПК;

3. Въпреки че Деян Иванов се отказа от показанията си, прокуратурата не разследва кой го е принудил, а продължи докрай да се позовава на първоначалните му думи.

4. Ключови свидетелки срещу Коцев - уволнени от него дисциплинарно, поискаха охрана, но си я свалиха доброволно за празниците - щото тогава опасност няма…

5. Докато празнуваха, успяха да подадат сигнал срещу дарителите на сумата за гаранцията за излизането на Благо от ареста, и прокуратура прекара 5 месеца да ги разследва, а един съдия удобно вдигна банковата тайна над преводите им.

6. Неизвестният депутат, заради чието споменаване в папките по делото, то “стоя” подсъдно в СГС, където са повече съдии от закрития спец съд, остана неизвестен и непотърсен. Но пък няколко съдебни състава в СГС отказваха да изменят мярката на Благо в продължение на 5 месеца.

В тази история са замесени редици магистрати - съдии и прокурори, които вместо да служат на закона, служиха на други господари.
Време е да им се потърси отговорност.

In any normal country, purchasing stolen goods is an act that entails legal liability. This applies, in particular, to grain stolen by Russia. Another vessel carrying such grain has arrived at a port in Israel and is preparing to unload. This is not – and cannot be – legitimate business. The Israeli authorities cannot be unaware of which ships are arriving at the country’s ports and what cargo they are carrying.

Russia is systematically seizing grain on temporarily occupied Ukrainian land and organizing its export through individuals linked to the occupiers. Such schemes violate the laws of the State of Israel itself. Ukraine has taken all necessary steps through diplomatic channels to prevent such incidents. However, we see that yet another such vessel has not been stopped. I have instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to inform all partners of our state about the situation.

Based on information from our intelligence services, Ukraine is preparing a relevant sanctions package that will cover both those directly transporting this grain and the individuals and legal entities attempting to profit from this criminal scheme. We will also coordinate with European partners to ensure that the relevant individuals are included in European sanctions regimes.

Ukraine counts on partnership and mutual respect with every state. We are genuinely working to enhance security, particularly in the Middle East region. We expect that the Israeli authorities will respect Ukraine and refrain from actions that undermine our bilateral relations.
