I dislike several things that people have said are seen in many churches; but I love the Body of Christ in whatever form they come.

So long as they believe in God, who is the Father
The Creator of all that exists
And Jesus Christ the Son, as Saviour and Lord
In whom alone in salvation from sin
And the Holy Spirit sent down to prepare a people for the world to come.

And take the Scriptures as the unalterable inerrant and wholesome word of God.

Then I count them as brothers and sisters
Of the same Father, planted in the same Christ, by the same Spirit.

I might not be able to fellowship with everyone
But in my heart I am in fellowship with everyone who has put their faith in Christ Jesus

I smile inwardly when I meet another Christian
Regardless of their church or denomination
I will not invite an established believer to my church
But I have already invited them to my brotherhood
In the same embrace of Christ.

Whether they shave their beards or curl their hair
Whether they wear cassocks or shredded jeans🙄
Whether they were trousers or garments or sweep-the-ground-for-us skirts
Whether they sing hymns like Fanny Crosby or rap like Lecrae
Whether they are full of rules or full of fun
Whether they are white, brown, yellow or black
Whether they meet in cathedrals, stadiums, backyards or parlours

None of that matters to me.

What matters to me is

'Are' you born again?
Do you now belong to Jesus?

If your answer is Yes.

Then you are my brother
And I am

Last week, Apostle Tolu Agboola talked about how, during the bandit attack, a prominent Muslim man in Ogbomosho ran to him and said:

"We know you have the means to flee this city, but you chose to stay, and that is why we are still here too."

He cried at IEC when he said this.

He said the world is looking to us for hope and answers, and prayed that it would not be said that we have a name and a boast we cannot substantiate.

This happened while everyone was running helter-skelter, trying to retrieve their children from schools.

A prominent Muslim man ran to a pastor in a time of crisis.

The people criticizing the Church are not always criticizing it in the way we think.

Sometimes, they have an inclination that is being misexpressed.

You say the God we serve is the only true God. He is the One who made all people in His image.

He is the One who wrote His moral law on the hearts of men.

So it is fitting that in times of darkness, crisis, trials, and tribulations, people seek their Maker.

And since not everyone has a relationship with Him, many turn to His ecclesia, His temple on earth.

This was what I was trying to say yesterday.

The Church means something.

This is the people among whom God dwells on the earth.

Do you know what that means?

We are the body of Christ.

You wonder why people “drag” the Church more than others? Perhaps it is because people instinctively expect something from the Church.

Jesus did say we are the light of the world. So in times of crisis, why are we surprised when people turn to the Church?

WE SHOULD HAVE ANSWERS.

We should, guys.

We are the ones who have access to God. God is King over all nations, and we can go boldly to His throne.

Why then is our land desolate while the enemy ravages the innocent?

Why are our prophets quiet, and why do we not see our signs?

Why?

Something deep within the hearts of people is crying out to God, albeit imperfectly.

Just like Mary blamed Jesus for not coming earlier to save her brother and said if He had come sooner, he would not have died.

It is similar to some of the agitations we are seeing now.

Mary’s motive was sincere, but her expression was imperfect.

In the same way, many Nigerians are expressing frustration, grief, and longing.

But Mary was right about one thing: only Jesus is life.

He alone could save her brother.

And He did.

Similarly, I believe the Church has answers in times of darkness, and people are looking to us. Sometimes, it seems we have not responded in proportion to the moment.

I am glad that some pastors have spoken up.

But the Church has more power than merely speaking up.

We are not merely activists.

We are spiritual people entrusted with carrying the witness of Christ into the world.

But have we?

Finally, during the carnage of Abacha’s era, Christians prayed fervently.

There is even a popular story that Abacha reportedly told Buhari, “As long as those Christians are praying their prayers, you can never be president.”

Whether every retelling is exact or not, the point remains:

People believed prayer mattered.

You think the Church is crowds on a Sunday with lights and music?

No.

The Church is more than gatherings and aesthetics.

There is something beyond human power that God does through His people.

That is what I have been talking about.

You know what shook me when I was Muslim?

The Quran actually mashes a bunch of MAJOR stories together. For example, Saul and Gideon, it straight up remixes the biblical account and then calls it “New Revelation.”

In 1 Samuel, Saul is chosen as Israel’s king. He’s tall, strong, and anointed by Samuel.

In Judges 7, Gideon is the one who tests his army by the water. Those who lap like dogs are cut, those who drink properly stay.

Two different leaders. Two different times in history.

But in Surah 2:246–252, the Quran gives that water test to Saul.

That’s like saying George Washington crossed the Atlantic Ocean to discover America in 1492.

Totally different people. Totally different events.

But the Quran fuses them into one blended story.

Why is nobody talking about this?

That’s not Revelation—that’s confusion.

The details are undeniably the same, and it’s undeniably a mix-up.

And here’s what hit me:

As a Muslim reading the Bible, I realized something.

The Bible is laser precise with names, places, and timelines, because God actually moved in real history.

But the Quran feels like someone overheard Jewish and Christian stories, mashed them together, and turned them into a moral lesson.

And if the book I was reading can’t keep Saul and Gideon straight, how could I trust it with my eternity?

The God of Scripture doesn’t blur history.

He writes it in detail, and every story points forward.

The entire Old Testament is a witness to the coming of Christ. And that’s why I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior.

One day ago, David Hundeyin @DavidHundeyin, the journalist who claims Rev'd Ezekiel Dachomo is a co-accomplice with those causing insecurity in the North, posted his picture signing a condolence for the dead Iranian dictator, Ali Khamenei.

We want to tell you something about the leadership. Please read:

In the 1980-1988 Iraq-Iran war, the then Ayatollah did something very horrific.

Because Iran didn't have sophisticated weaponry to clear mines, they decided to use children to do it.

So, they recruited child soldiers using the Basij arm of the force. They gave these kids plastic 'keys to paradise.'

They indoctrinated them to believe they would be going to paradise as they walked into their deaths.

They sent thousands of them into these minefields. The children were blown to shreds, and the adult army could finally come in.

Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini did this. He is the predecessor of the man @DavidHundeyin is now signing condolences for.

It was under the government of this same Ali that children around 12 years old were legally made to be drafted for war just a few weeks ago.

This same Ali actually killed around 30,000 innocent Iranians who actually protested against its brutality in January.

We have provided links to verified videos below. Major news outlets like the BBC and CBS also verified that at least 12,000 people were killed.

12,000 people were shot because they protested the harshness of the regime of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the man that David Hundeyin is now eulogising.

This is just a tip of what Khemenei did.

He killed Masha Amini, a 22-year-old girl, because she didn't wear a hijab. That incident sparked a protest in which protesters were also killed.

Why are we saying all these? It is important to know who your enemy is as a Christian in Nigeria.

And David @Davidhundeyin is a chief one.

This man claims to be an atheist. He believes Christianity is a 'white man's religion of control' on Africans.

That is why he parades his faux Pan-Africanism.

But here he is eulogizing an Islamic nation, a religion that comes from the same Middleeast as Christianity.

David has repeatedly spoken against the insecurity caused by terrorists in Nigeria.

But here he eulogizes the leader of the very country that is funding the terror groups of the world, including those in Nigeria.

Did he teach you to mourn the man who killed 30,000 people in cold blood?

Well, we are saying this to everyone to see the moral bankruptcy of the journalist who is actively downplaying the genocide of the Nigerian Christians.
