@RugbyPass@btsportrugby In the laws, it’s the direction the hands go in, NOT the flight of the ball. If the try is given, then his hands have to CLEARLY move forward for there to be compelling evidence to overturn. I’ve watched it a few times & I don’t think you can say they do. (Not a Sale fan - FYI!)
@bathrugbyplug Problem is, I’m not sure he knows what changes to make or what to actually do!! Whatever happens, he needs a new lineout coach. And quickly.
@BathBytes It was also a dreadful decision. Not really an easy kick and he’d already missed two easier than that. Whereas the position was ideal for going to touch. Briz had been giving away tons of penalties in the red zone. Needed to apply pressure, not release it.
@BathRugby@david_trick and slightly later on @victorubogu (when I realised I had zero pace and would be consigned to a life in the forwards!) Normally accompanied by a cup of oxtail soup and a bag of cheese and onion crisps!
@martylfc73@radio_sheri I’ve also just seen a replay of the no arms hit on Bailey from Jono Ross. TMO said he wrapped. Not in a million years did he. Easy to criticise Dickson, but the TMO seemed utterly happy to let foul play go unpunished.
@tomdabs Or a penalty turned over when Du Preez reacted to the late tackle. Or the fact that Ojomoh shouldn’t have been yellow carded. Or the fact that Sale were constantly offside. I could go on.
@BathBytes@howse_c I don’t think it matters when players come back after injury, the £400k dispensation & cap count regardless. Wondering if they’ve got a bit too close to going over & need to make sure we’re not in breach at the end of the season. Also hoping this means a few will soon be back!
