@TODAYshow Townhall on Coronavirus and the Classroom. Ask teachers if they’ve received the PPE and other sanitizer supplies they’ve been promised! @JennaBushHager
@ChrisEngledowl @sophgermain @zoom_us YES! Many times I will hear a hint of something that leads me to migrate over even though they don’t call me over to their table.
@binkman @sophgermain @ClintSmithIII @zoom_us YES! AND/OR when a kid speaks, in addition to highlighting their square, can it move to an active screen so I can see them?
@workingacademic @sophgermain @zoom_us YES! Kinda like a “2 minutes left” or “let me clarify for ALL real quick (so I don’t have to repeat myself 8 more times)” announcement when we’re all in the classroom!
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS:
Parents would no longer be in charge of MAKING kids do their work on the hourly basis. (I used all caps there because the Spring 2020 was rough at my house too!)
NOT PERFECT BUT:
This might not be best case scenario but it could be a temporary solution. Would provide consistency enough for PARENTS to return to WORK and STUDENTS to return to LEARNing all the while minimizing the risk of spreading the virus to an entire school population.
