@MmeBurgess Agreed! I am purposefully putting myself out in the schools more often this year, and I always set up shop for the day in the media center. Collaborating with the media specialist and supporting him/her for several hours is a wonderful thing! #TeamWork! #TECHTalkGA
@LokeyVega @KSUITEC @CoSN I know, I’ve looked into it. I got my Ed.S from KSU. Your Edd cohorts are too spread out. I didn’t want to wait 2yrs to start. Are they still that way?
A3: There needs to be more leadership classes and technology hardware instruction. Most smaller districts have a technology staff, and although our titles say “Instructional”, most of us still wrench in addition to instructional coaching. #TECHtalkGA
A5: we are in year 4 of a 1:1 iPad rollout. While it hasn’t been all roses and rainbows, it does serve our rural community and give our Ss a level playing field digitally upon graduation. So short answer yes- for sure. #TechTalkGA
A3: Agee however over the course of time (if done correctly) the digital gap decreases as the students mature. Digital Citizenship is a great place to start. #TechTalkGA
#techtalkga A2: Tech is a tool, not a babysitter, not a crutch. Use it well, and you greatly expand what Ss can do in your class. Use it poorly, and it adds nothing.
@juliedavisEDU@dmillbank@ajpodchaski@s_bearden@OLoughness@DrKatrinaKeene We a 1:1 iPad district. I’ve set up “loaner” devices to use when iPads are out for repair, but as far as Ss forgetting them, that is a school by school decision. We consider that a discipline issue and not technology issue.
Our vendor spots are almost full. This is shaping up to be one our best #edtech conferences in years! Please join us. Register: https://t.co/Ppe5PB3bmL
