It’s the 40th anniversary of Back to School, which features one of the best meta jokes ever.
Rodney Dangerfield hires Kurt Vonnegut to write a paper about Kurt Vonnegut… and Sally Kellerman gives it an F, saying the writer “doesn’t know the first thing about Kurt Vonnegut.”
Journey’s “Only the Young” plays as Louden Swain runs across multiple bridges spanning the Spokane River during the opening credits of VISION QUEST. Director Harold Becker used these bridges as a metaphor for his coming-of-age story where crossing a body of water symbolizes transition, rebirth, and leaving the past behind.

Wanted to take a minute & thank all of the fans & the community that supported us on Saturday! It made a HUGE impact on Saturday but just as important it will impact our future, recruits saw that VT loves Football!
This is Hokie Nation in action, coming together for 32. 🧡
More than 16,500 Hokies participated in this year’s #VT32Run to honor those who were killed on April 16, 2007. #VTWeRemember
Hokie Fans!!!! Thank you for a special atmosphere in the Cassell tonight, without the @CassellGuardVT and our band. That is a fantastic win for our team against a fine Cavalier club. Down to W-S we go. Let’s Go Hokies!!! 🦃 Happy New Year to everyone.
